Artificial intelligence to help detecting burnout

Our new member, Prof. Mascha Kurpicz-Briki from the Bern University of Applied Science in Biel, and her team have developed a promising technique to detect burnout. They analyzed texts from a social media plateform and applied machine learning to determine whether a text, previously manually classified, contains indicator of burnout. The results are promising but need to be confirmed. As a next step, collaboration with medical experts is necessary to verify the conclusions of this preliminary investigation on real cases of burnout and on a representative sample of the population.
